Burrowing Pangolins (Fodiomanis sp)
Burrowing Pangolins, also called Armadillo and Mole Pangolins, are descendents of African Pangolins that, as their common name suggests, burrow. They live in a range of biomes, from desert to tropical rainforest, and have expanded their diet to include most invertebrates, though eusocial insects like ants and termites still make up a large part of their diet. Apart from a severe shortening of the tail they are physically identical to their ancestors.

Some species are:

-The Greater Burrowing Pangolin (Fodiomanis grandis) lives in the deserts and arid scrublands of Northern Africa. It is 96cm long.

-The Lesser Burrowing Pangolin (Fodiomanis minimus) lives in the deserts and arid scrublands of Northern Africa. It is 70cm long.
Another idea for the Allocene project.
