Literature Text

The River Raccoon (Aquaprocyon sp) is a descendent of the North American Raccoon native to the tropical, subtropical and temperate rivers east of the Rocky Mountains in North America. They have webbed feet, small ears, and a slightly flattened tail. They live in burrows dug into river banks and are solitary, coming together only to mate. Females give birth to 2-5 kits at the chamber at the end of her burrow which she raises alone. They feed on fish, crustaceans, bivalves and occasionally small water birds and their eggs.
